Duties :
Job description
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize welding techniques to fabricate components, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Employ basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary for precise fabrication.
- Operate tools such as micrometers and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy in work.
- Perform soldering tasks as needed for assembly and repair of components.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Experience:
- Extensive hands-on expertise in welding and fitting, with a strong command of various welding techniques.
- Preferred familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Skilled in precision measurement using tools such as micrometers.
- Highly detail-oriented, with a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality work.
Welding Certifications & Experience:
- SMAW: AWS D1.1 CS Fillet
- GTAW/GTAW: CS Pipe
- GTAW/SMAW: CS Pipe, CS Plate
- GTAW w/Filler: SS Pipe
- FCAW: AWS D1.6 SS
- GMAW: AWS D1.6 SS Plate (3/16”, 3G/4G)
- GTAW: AL6XN Manual/Orbital
- GTAW AWS D1.6: w/Filler SS Plate
- GTAW Orbital
- GTAW Manual: SS Tube (.065)
Requirements:
- Must be willing to travel out of state 4-10 days at a time.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record is a must.
- Must live in Maine.
- Must have reliable transportation to get themselves to the shop on Monday mornings for 6am.

We are looking for a well rounded Senior Engineer who understands the requirements of today’s manufacturing facilities. Our engineers interact directly with our clients identifying areas of improvement, developing a conceptual design and implementing detail design. We fabricate, install and validate our systems. Mechanical aptitude and control system familiarity is a strength.
EXPERIENCE WITH CREATING:
- User Requirement Specifications
- Technical Specifications
- Functional Design Specifications
- Process Flow Diagrams and Material Balances
- Piping & Instrument Drawings
- Equipment & Instrument Data Sheets
WORKING KNOWLEDGE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- PMO
- ASME BPE
- Isometric pipe design
- 3D computer modeling
- Sanitary welding procedures and requirements
- Fluid dynamics and heat transfer
- Control loop design and instrument component sizing
- Process utilities
DESIGN EXPERIENCE WITH:
- CIP and COP systems
- Bioreactor and fermentation systems
- Process water generation and distribution including WFI
- RO and TFF processes
- HTST and UHT design and installation
- Liquid Aseptic packaging
- Mix proof valves and valve cluster design
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or higher in engineering or related science field
- Minimum of 15 years liquid process engineering
